Types of Hemorrhoids

For those that are having problems with hemorrhoids, they will want to find a cure to stop the bleeding, pain and irritation.  Before being able to find the right cure for hemorrhoids, it will be important to determine the types of hemorrhoids that you have.  Knowing what kind of hemorrhoids you have will help you to decide what types of remedies will treat the problem. This will prevent the problem from occurring again. 

The first type of hemorrhoids is known as internal hemorrhoids.  This will usually occur in the internal anus and rectum area.  From here, the hemorrhoid will cause different levels of severity.  Each of these will cause a difference in where the bleeding will come from as well as what kind of treatment that will work best.

First-degree internal hemorrhoids will usually occur in the anus, but will not move into any other area.  These are the least severe and will usually not remain a problem.  The second degree of hemorrhoids will move outside of the anus during bowel movement.  This will cause more bleeding to occur.  After the straining has finished, the hemorrhoid will move back into the anus.  The third degree of internal hemorrhoids will move outside of the anus during bowel movement.  The only way to get this hemorrhoid back into the internal area is to manually shift it back up.  With the fourth degree of internal hemorrhoids, there will be a protrusion from the hemorrhoid.  You will not be able to move this back into the internal area. 

External hemorrhoids are the second type of hemorrhoids.  These will be on the external area and will usually be under the skin.  With this particular type of hemorrhoid, you will have itching and burning. That is the most common symptom.  Irritation is another common symptom of hemorrhoids.  You will also notice that there is bleeding that occurs during bowel movement.  This is usually part of hemorrhoids, no matter which type of hemorrhoid it is. 

With either type of hemorrhoid, there will be different levels of bleeding that may occur.   This will be a specific symptom for almost all types of hemorrhoids.  With any type of hemorrhoid, you will want to get a diagnosis from a doctor or healthcare provider. This can easily be examined by a physician, which will allow you to be able to take the right steps to fight the problem.
