External Hemorrhoids Are Painful And Bleeds. Here's Why..

External Hemorrhoids are just those hemorrhoids found outside the anal opening.

You won't find much symptoms for small external hemorrhoids. However, larger ones can be painful and interfere with the bowel movement. When this happens, a blood clot forms in on the hemorrhoids called thrombosis (also known as thrombosed external hemorrhoids). The area around the anus becomes inflamed and it develops into a painful lump.

Some of the clots may break and begins bleeding after a few days. This is the reason why you see blood on your underwear or on the toilet tissue after wiping oneself.

External hemorrhoids, thrombosed hemorrhoids or prolapsed internal hemorrhoids can be removed by conventional surgery. You can expect a lot of discomfort with surgery, but in most cases the hemorrhoids will not return after surgery.
